From the moment I left school, I began working in a variety of accounts departments, gaining hands‑on experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping. Those early roles gave me a strong practical foundation and a real understanding of how businesses operate behind the scenes.

Building on that experience, I went on to complete extensive training and professional qualifications with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). This includes the ICB Level 4 Certificate in Self‑Assessment Taxation, officially recognised by HMRC, giving me advanced expertise in UK tax compliance and reporting.

 As a HMRC‑authorised tax agent, I am able to deal directly with HMRC on behalf of my clients, submit returns, manage queries, and ensure all reporting is accurate, compliant, and handled professionally. This gives clients the reassurance that their tax affairs are managed by someone fully recognised and trusted by HMRC. 

I have developed a deep understanding of both historical accounting practices and the latest HMRC requirements, ensuring clients receive accurate, compliant support at every stage. I am also highly experienced with leading cloud‑based accounting platforms, including FreeAgent, Sage 50cloud (Level 3 & 4 Certified User) and QuickBooks, allowing me to deliver efficient, modern, digital bookkeeping tailored to each client.

As an ICB‑licensed practice, REB Bookkeeping Services is fully supervised for Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) compliance under the Money Laundering Regulations (MLRs). All practising bookkeepers in the UK must be supervised by an approved AML supervisory body. By holding an ICB Practice Licence, I automatically meet this legal requirement, ensuring all client work is carried out under strict professional insurance, ethical, and regulatory standards.

My ongoing training and continual professional development ensure I stay fully up to date with tax law changes, Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements, and the latest software solutions. This means clients can be confident they are receiving accurate, compliant, and forward‑thinking bookkeeping support.
